After the death of her son, Danuta Holecka disappeared from TV Republika, where since December 2023 she has been hosting the news service “Dzisiaj”, also called by the journalist in the announcements “real Polish news”. During her absence, the presenter was replaced by Adrian Borecki, the current host of “Republika Wieczór”, and previously one of the hosts on Telewizja Polska. On July 22, Danuta Holecka returned to TV Republika dressed all in black due to the ongoing mourning.

Julian Dunin-Holecki was an orthopedic doctor by profession and worked at the Mazowiecki Bródnowski Hospital. During the man’s funeral, a priest who was friends with the Holecki family revealed that the 31-year-old had died just before his wedding anniversary. “He pointed out that Julian and his wife would have celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in two weeks, which he had performed for them years ago, and in the meantime it had happened differently,” Samuel Pereira explained in an interview with “Super Express”. Condolences to the grieving journalist were offered by, among others, Jacek Kurski, former president of Telewizja Polska.
