Arab tourist went for halal kebab in Zakopane. She showed how much she paid

Tourists from Arab countries love Zakopane. It is no wonder that the owners of local restaurants have created a new offer, adapted to guests from the Middle East. A woman showed what halal kebabs looked like in one of the bars in Zakopane.

In recent years, the offer of many restaurants in Zakopane has changed under the influence of tourists from countries such as Oman, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Among other things, advertisements and menus in Arabic have appeared. In addition, in the capital of Podhale, we can also easily order halal dishes. This means that they do not contain products forbidden by the Koran (including pork), and the animals were slaughtered in a ritual manner. “Kebabs – 100 percent halal” – informs the advertisement of one of the restaurants on Krupówki.

She visited a halal kebab shop. How much did she pay?

TikTok user @monaalamri24 showed what her visit to a restaurant in Zakopane looked like. She chose a halal kebab. In a short video, the tourist showed what the dishes she ordered looked like. These included kebabs in a bucket and in a tortilla. She paid 290 PLN for the whole thing. However, the bill does not show how many dishes she ordered. So it is hard to judge whether they are significantly more expensive than regular kebabs.

Halal dishes are becoming increasingly popular in Podhale

It is worth mentioning that the new offer of Zakopane restaurants is not limited to halal kebabs. In the spring of this year, “Tygodnik Podhalański” reported on it. “Hotel Kasprowy Wierch at Krupówki serves dishes especially for customers from the Middle East. There are Arabic dishes based on meat from ritual slaughter, there is an Arabic menu” – we read in one of the articles on the subject.

Many people may wonder whether halal dishes in Podhale establishments are expensive. On the website of one of the hotels we find a menu. We learn that Arab tourists have to pay: 49 zlotys for a chicken salad, 52 zlotys for a goat cheese salad, 55 zlotys for a shrimp salad, 45 zlotys for classic spaghetti, 49 zlotys for a chicken pizza.
