Torenia came to Poland from tropical regions of Asia. It is an annual, melliferous plant, which is characterized by small, colorful, edible . Torenia feels best in a semi-shaded position. Constant contact with the sun does not have a good effect on the delicate leaves. Before you plant it in the ground, prepare the soil. It should be well-drained, with a slightly acidic pH. It is worth enriching it with fresh compost or manure. The plant likes moist soil, but proper drainage must be ensured.. When overwatered, the roots will begin to rot rapidly.

During flowering, look out for dead buds and leaves. It is worth removing them, as this encourages the plant to produce fresh shoots.

TIP! To obtain torenia seedlings, it is best to sow the seeds in peat pots for seedlings. Take care of watering and the right temperature, which should be between 18 and 24 degrees.

An excellent support for flowering is to prepare one of two nutrients. Thanks to them, it will be showered with lots of small flowers. Nitrogen and calcium will affect the overall health and condition of the torenia, so grab some home-made ingredients and get to work.

  1. Coffee Grounds Fertilizer. After each brewing of coffee, collect the grounds and dry thoroughly on a paper towel. Collect them in a tight container and sprinkle them over the torenia once every 3 weeks. Remember to mix the grounds with the top layer of soil.
