Are holidays in Croatia really that expensive? A tourist from Poland decided to share his experiences. In his opinion, it is not as bad as he suspected. – It is not some extraordinary high price in the world – he stated in an interview with “Fakt”.

Croatia has been one of the favorite travel destinations for Poles for years. It is no secret that the issue of prices in this country has recently stirred up huge emotions. Even before adopting the euro, they had skyrocketed. – I think that because prices have gone up in most places in the world, people have somehow accepted it. It is known that many of them often express their dissatisfaction loudly. For example, they complain that now they can’t go to a grocery store without 50 euros. And once they would have bought a lot of things for that amount. However, times have changed and the rapid price increase has not spared Croatia – Mr. Jan Drazin, guide to Dalmatia.

It turns out, however, that the situation is not as bad as it has been presented recently. Mr. Leszek, a tourist from Poland, shared his experiences with “Fakt”. He and his wife traveled to Croatia by car this year. They rented private accommodation there. – We eat in pubs for reasonable money, and we also do a little shopping in supermarkets. We have our own tricks. We don’t let ourselves be fooled – Mr. Leszek revealed.

He did some shopping at a Croatian discount store. How much did he pay?

According to the man, this year’s vacation in Croatia is not that expensive. However, it is worth paying attention to where we do our shopping. For example, it can be expensive at local bazaars. On the other hand, in popular discount stores, prices are not much different from those in Poland.

During their shopping trip to the discount store, Mr. Leszek and his wife spent 56.65 PLN. For this amount, they bought: six chocolates (5.80 each), four rolls (2.50 each) and a packet of crisps (11 PLN). – I would greatly exaggerate if I said that they went crazy with the prices. This is not some extraordinary high price in the world. And let’s take into account that Croatia is besieged by tourists – said Mr. Leszek.
