Every year in Poland there are 13 holidays that are considered statutory holidays. In a situation when they fall on Saturday, we must have an appointment for them on another date. However, this privilege is granted only to persons employed under an employment contract, as this issue is regulated by the Labor Code.
Day off for the holiday on Saturday 2021: when can you pick up?
there is still a chance for an extra day off, because we celebrated the first day of Christmas on Saturday. In most cases, it is the workplace that dictates the employees in advance the date on which they can take the day away. Some people decided to designate it for Christmas Eve, while others postponed it to New Year’s Eve in order to extend the New Year’s weekend a bit. Hence, some of the longer days off are still ahead of them.

In the coming year, unfortunately, there will be many opportunities to take an extra day off. There is only one such day in 2022, namely January 1. With the New Year falling on, many full-time employees can count on additional leave in January.
The 2022 holiday calendar allows us to get four long weekends
However, we also have some good news for the coming year. are arranged in such a way that by using the four days of vacation leave, we will be able to enjoy additional long weekends:
- 6.01 – 9.01 – around Epiphany, it is enough to take a free Friday,
- 30.04 – 3.05 – during public holidays it is enough to take a Monday off,
- 16.06 – 19.06 – after Corpus Christi it is enough to take a free Friday,
- 29.10 – 1.11 – during All Saints Day it is enough to take a day off on Monday.
