The all-time hit series will debut on Netflix. When will it premiere? There are already details

Back in 2023, Netflix bought a license to distribute several Disney productions, but none of them have been available to Polish subscribers so far. Now, however, that is set to change. In just a few days, the streaming giant’s library will debut the hit fantasy-adventure series “Lost.”

In mid-2023, Netflix announced that it had signed a contract with Warner Bros. Discovery, among others, which was tantamount to acquiring a license to distribute many hit titles from HBO. Some time later, reports appeared that it was also to establish cross-platform cooperation with The Walt Disney Company, which was eventually confirmed by the studio’s head Bob Iger himself.

Disney hit on Polish Netflix. It is known when the series “Lost” will hit the platform

Thanks to the aforementioned contract, it gave the competition the rights to make available as many as 14 productions for 18 months. The library has already been joined by, among others, the reboot of the series “The Wonder Years”, “This Is Us”, “On, She and the Kids”, “The Residents” and “How I Met Your Mother”. However, none of these titles have been available in Poland so far. Now it turns out that this situation will soon change.

On July 1, Netflix subscribers in the United States gained access to the Disney hit “Lost,” known in Poland as “Lost,” which won a Golden Globe, among other awards. Although it enjoyed huge popularity on television at the time, it was unclear whether it would debut on the platform here. The uncertainty has finally come to an end, as Netflix has just announced its premiere, which is scheduled for August 14th.

“Lost” was a TV hit. What is the plot about?

“Lost” is a six-season American fantasy-adventure series by JJ Abrams and Jeffrey Lieber, broadcast from 2004 to 2010. The plot focuses on the fate of 48 passengers of a plane who, after a crash, are trapped on a deserted island. In order to survive, they must join forces. However, they quickly discover that the land they are on is not as deserted as they initially thought. When they start looking for the causes of disturbing phenomena and unexplained sounds, they will discover a dark secret.

It is not without reason that it is called a streaming giant, because it is currently used by almost 270 million users from all over the world. Such great interest in subscriptions is primarily due to the rich and diverse offer, which consists of not only original titles and hit programs, but also classics from years ago. In addition, the platform is eager to take advantage of market problems and the weaker position of competing services, and buys licenses for the most popular content.
