On April 28, Los Angeles police received a report of an incident at the residence of Christina Fulton, Nicolas Cage’s ex-partner. An ambulance was supposed to be called to the scene, but the injured woman refused to go to the hospital for check-ups. Paparazzi photos that later appeared online showed the actress with a black eye and several bruises on her face.
After the incident, the woman denied that there had been an argument between her and her son. “Weston and I did not have an argument before the incident,” she explained. “On Sunday, April 28, several of Weston’s best friends asked me for help because Weston was going through a mental crisis,” Fulton added at the time. Weston Cage has struggled with mental disorders in the past. In 2011, he was admitted to a psychiatric hospital after attacking a waiter in a restaurant. According to Christina Fulton, Nicolas Cage is responsible for her son’s problems. “He did him a lot of harm. I raised Weston, I took care of him. His dad was too busy with his acting career,” the actress said on the “Inside Edition” program.
