Driven by their fifth studio album, produced again by Manuel Colmenero (Vetusta Morla, Nena Daconte…), the band from Duranguesado He is looking forward to the date (San Miguel stage, 19:15), to examine at home, on a “very special” date, the “immediate connection” that has emerged between his audience and new songs such as “Alas”, “Berlín” and “Gloria”, and enjoy winning cards such as “I owe you a song”, “Idols (The best moments are yet to come)” or “The intact smile”.

We have spoken with Gabriel de la Rosasinger of the group, about Shinova’s concert on the first day of Bilbao BBK Live.

The tour of The present finally comes home. How has the public received your new songs and whatHow do they fit into the repertoire?

The truth is that some of the songs of The present They are already essential for live performances. On March 1st we released the album, and the next day, the 2nd, we had Paris 15 in Malaga, packed with people singing songs that they didn’t know 24 hours before.

The connection was immediate.

In whatThe concerts and their typology influence this – in your case, fortunately, large venues with a lot of audiences.public– in songwriting?

Yes, we do take it into account, perhaps because many of the ideas arose in the middle of the tour, with the energy of the concerts very present,

But then there are songs, like “Los días que venir” (The Days to Come), which, being more intimate, work very well live and are experienced in a very intense way.

I imagine that the date of the Bilbao BBK Live will bespecial for you. How do you deal with it?

Yes, it is a very special date for several reasons, and the first is that it is at home, close to our people and at a festival that we have enjoyed as an audience since its beginnings.

It’s our first time, and we’re sure it will be an unforgettable day.

WhatIs this non-negotiable for you at a Shinova concert?

For us, it is non-negotiable that there is emotion, intensity, and of course, respect.

Massive Attack, Derby Motoreta’s Burrito Kachimba, The Prodigy, Albert Plá, Jungle, Zea Mays… It’s a great poster. There are many must-haves.

Being from Duranguesado, for sure habandhas been in previous editions of the festival. WhatI have memoriesAre you related to Bilbao BBK Live?

We have experienced many things at BBK Live… I remember a performance by Mark Lanegan in which the storm of the century fell and, although they had to stop, at times it was something epic, with Lanegan’s voice commanding among the thunder and his unchanging gesture despite the rain and the wind.

WhatWhat plans and goals does Shinova have?

Over the next two years we will continue to present the album both nationally and in Latin America. There is a long tour ahead and we are really looking forward to it!
