Arrasate, the epicenter of punk
This weekend, in Arrasate, distortion will once again abound, choruses that invite you to scream your throat out and lyrics that denounce what we don’t like. The third edition of the festival Mondra & Roll presents a rich menu of punk, rock, oi! and hardcore for Friday, July 5th and Saturday, July 6th.
Larru Beltzak will be in charge of opening the third edition of the Mondra & Roll festival at 18:20, and a trident with three of the greatest representatives of current Basque punk rock will then take over from the Oñati quintet: Arena 6, Kaleko Urdangak and Brigade Loco.
After, Madballone of the main representatives of the second generation of New York hardcore (Agnostic Front, Cro-Mags, Sick of it All…), will surely perform one of their classic displays of strength, which will be followed by the performance of the veterans Sham 69 and the last concert of the first day of Mondra & Roll, that of Roy Ellis.
Saturday
The second day’s program will be opened by the young band from Arrasate Kontralde at 18:20, to those who will follow The Chisel (19:15), the fusion of fast rock and roll and pop by the British Bad Nerves, High Vis and the Swedes The Baboon Show (22:30), who have found a second home and public favour in the Basque Country.
At midnight, the time will come to see Cock Sparermyths of punk rock and oi!. The English group, created in 1972, will offer songs from their more than 50-year career, as well as compositions from their notable latest album Hand on Heartpublished this year after half a century. After them, the Catalans The Stubborn Ones will close the festival.
The two-day ticket is on sale for 79.75 euros, while day tickets cost 38.5 (Friday) and 49.5 (Saturday) euros. Children under 12 can enter for free.

Taking advantage of the Mondra & Roll infrastructure, the Egurhotza festival will be held in Monterron the day before (Thursday, July 4), which will feature concerts by Mutiko, Etxepe, Ebano, J Martina, Judeline and Tatta & Denso from 5:30 p.m. to midnight.
