The most popular piece by Tadeusz Woźniak is “The Clockmaker of Light”. The artist donated the manuscript of the great hit to the collection of the National Library, which can be seen in the permanent exhibition at the Palace of the Republic, next to works by Fryderyk Chopin and Krzysztof Komeda.
The hit is a metaphorical story about death, it won the main prize at the 10th National Festival of Polish Song in Opole in 1972. The lyrics to the song were written by the poet Bogdan Chorążuk.

Tadeusz Woźniak was born in 1947 in Warsaw. He was a musician, composer and vocalist. He made his debut at the age of 20 under the pseudonym Daniel Dram in the band Dzikusy. He then collaborated with Niebiesko-Czarni and Czesław Niemen.
During his long career, Woźniak created music for theatre and film, as well as musicals and musical performances. The artist was the author of music for several hundred songs and almost 100 productions in drama theatres. The songs composed by Woźniak were sung by the most popular vocalists in Poland, such as Michał Bajor, Zbigniew Wodecki and Krystyna Prońko.
