The Mam Marzenie Foundation was established in 2003 in Krakow, in order to, as the name suggests, fulfill the most secret dreams of its beneficiaries. “The mission of the Mam Marzenie Foundation is to fulfill the dreams of children aged 3-18, suffering from life-threatening diseases. Through our activities, we want to provide sick children and their families with unforgettable experiences that will allow them to forget about their suffering, at least for a moment, bring joy, strength to fight the disease and hope for the future into their lives,” we read on the initiative’s website.
Metallica Played Two Concerts in Poland. They Also Fulfilled a Dream of a 13-Year-Old
Some time ago, 13-year-old Antek from Białystok joined the group of dreamers. During a meeting with representatives of the Foundation, the boy confessed that he loved music and played one of the songs of his favorite band on the guitar. It was Metallica.
Antek announced that although he also has other passions, such as sports, attending a metal band concert would be the fulfillment of his greatest dreams. Thanks to the support of donors, the 13-year-old could not only listen to his favorite band live, but also meet his idols.

“We sang at the top of our lungs that ‘nothing else matters’, admired the fantastic performance and enjoyed the beautiful moments spent at the National Stadium in Warsaw” – we read in the Mam Marzenie Foundation’s report on Antek’s special moments. However, the concert was just one of the attractions that awaited the 13-year-old that day.
Antek had the opportunity to meet all the members of his favorite band just before the concert. The boy took pictures with the stars, collected autographs and exchanged a few words with them. “It was an absolutely fantastic afternoon that we will never forget. We would like to thank Metallica for all the kindness we received from you!” – we read in a joyful post that appeared on Facebook when the emotions from the meeting and concert had subsided.
