After a 10-year break, they returned to all-inclusive. They list what scared them. “Extremely visible”

Every year, all-inclusive trips enjoy huge popularity. Recently, the couple who run the blog Podróże Wolnym Krokiem admitted that after a ten-year break, they went on this type of vacation again. In a lengthy entry on social media, they shared a few unpleasant reflections.

Married couple Agnieszka and Krystian usually travel on their own. This year, however, they went on an all-inclusive vacation to Tunisia. The last time they decided to go on this type of vacation was 10 years ago. After returning, they shared their thoughts in a lengthy post on TikTok. “We used to love it, but since we started traveling on our own, we didn’t want to go back to it,” we read.

All inclusive. “The amount of food thrown away is terrifying”

Their family convinced them to go on an all-inclusive vacation. They went on a trip with 14 people and although it was a great time, the couple was not indifferent to several issues. “I like swimming in a large pool, where I can lie on a lounger and go to the bar for cold drinks. I like that I don’t have to cook all week. Not at all. But! The amount of food thrown away is terrifying. Simply terrifying! I know that it happens everywhere, but there it is probably especially visible,” Agnieszka began.

Then she added that in resorts you can still feel the disproportion between rich tourists and the locals who serve them. “It is embarrassing for me to be looked at as a rich man from Europe. And I feel the worst when hotel employees clearly feel worse than us. Certainly not everyone, but some clearly do. As if we had an influence on where we were born and could feel better. A difficult topic.” – we read. She added that it is also terrifying that with problems with drinking water for residents, with a huge drought, hotels are built in deserts with surrounding greenery, watering huge areas of plants.

“Travel fast food”

The TikToker admitted that she feels all-inclusive is like “travel fast food”. Although she knows that people go there to relax and that thanks to tourists, locals have jobs, it is worth sometimes thinking about how the world works. “I know that many people consider it an ideal vacation. And I understand that in terms of our finances and convenience, it is even cheaper to go on an all-inclusive to warm countries than to our expensive and cold Baltic Sea. And that some people simply prefer to go from the office, pay once and be done with it. I am not accusing,” she emphasized.
