2.3 million followers on Instagram, 1.32 million subscribers on YouTube, almost 100 million likes on TikTok – these are the statistics that the Kiss of Life band can boast about, and they decided to make their next video in Poland. The world’s K-pop stars came to Warsaw for the recordings.
K-pop stars filmed music video in Warsaw
Kiss of Life is a South Korean girl group formed in 2023. It took just a few months for Julie, Natty, Belle, and Haneul to become international stars. The artists debuted with an extended play on July 5, 2023, and the album sold almost 26,000 copies in Korea. The album released a few months later, “Born to Be XX,” did twice as well on the market (60,000 copies sold).
On June 8, the band came to Poland to shoot a music video for the song “Sticky.” The entire video was shot in front of and inside the iconic Muranów arthouse cinema, which has been hosting screenings in the heart of the city since 1951. The video is breaking records on YouTube, with over two million views in 24 hours. Today, the number has already reached 6.5 million views.
Kiss of Life dance and sing in front of the Muranów cinema
In the recording, we can see the entrance to the Ratusz Arsenał metro station and the popular, historic fountain from the mid-19th century, which is one of the two oldest in the city. The members of Kiss of Life also dance by the Muranów cinema sign, as well as inside it, even in the cinema hall. The building, built after World War II, contrasts with the artists’ colorful costumes and the modern music they play. Thanks to this, in the Koreans’ video, we can admire an interesting combination of cultures and generations.
