Her personal life has fallen apart, so as a single mother, she tries to provide her child with the best possible life, in various ways. Sandra is not a stereotypical stripper, she has big ambitions. Her life situation simply forced her to follow this path,” the dancer says of her character.
Perlińska on her new role: The biggest acting challenge in her career
Perlińska admits that the role of Sandra was the biggest acting challenge in her career. – – As a dancer, I am used to the idea that movement conveys a certain story and it is a creation. The outfit was actually more skimpy than the dresses I wore at tournaments, but I had a vision of what I would like it to look like on the big screen and I simply focused on implementing it, she says.
– I remember that moment and the rush of heat when I saw myself and my name on the poster. A surreal experience for me. I dreamed that this would happen someday, but I thought it was a very distant future, says Perlińska. – I also have to admit something: over a year ago, I printed out my work plans for each day and stuck them chronologically, by week, on the wall in my bedroom. I haven’t taken them off to this day, which probably perfectly illustrates how attached I am to this project, she adds.
