Although she pursued modeling after high school, she eventually left the industry to focus on raising her daughter as a single mother. This in turn led her to a career in higher education, particularly in the field of continuing education and adult learning. At the age of 57, she returned to the catwalk again.

Nina earned a bachelor’s degree in social services, followed by postgraduate studies in negotiation, conflict resolution and peacebuilding. Ultimately, she pursued a doctorate in educational leadership, which was fueled by a passion for supporting the learning and development of individuals and communities. However, after retiring in 2022, Nina felt “drawn” to modeling.
