Fonda hit the carpet for the premiere of Le Deuxième Acte wearing a black beaded Elie Saab jumpsuit and a striking leopard print Forte Forte coat. She accessorized with equally extravagant accessories: a stunning choker necklace, a slim diamond-encrusted bracelet, a matching Pomellato cocktail ring – and a pair of Margaux’s shoes.

The shoes are still available in most sizes for $295, but similar ones can be purchased on Polish websites. Their appearance on the carpet marks a significant change in the required dress code for festival attendees. While it used to be required to wear high heels on the carpet – a rule that actress Kristen Stewart famously condemned when she took off her shoes in protest in 2017 – the festival’s official website now states that “smart shoes, with or without heels, are required.”

The two-time Oscar winner is not the first star to opt for metallic footwear in 2024. In January, Katie Holmes wore a similar pair on the streets of New York, proving that they are the most versatile choice. They will complement any look and add an edge.
