Although initially it was assured that they would not affect popular productions, everything indicates that the station has changed its mind on this matter. It turns out that a series beloved by viewers is disappearing from the schedule. We are talking about “Leśniczówka”, which premiered in 2018 and has had 6 seasons so far.
Has “Leśniczówka” lost part of its audience? This was supposed to be the reason for abandoning the continuation of the series
Rumors that TVP would abandon the implementation of the next tranche appeared already in April 2024. Quite quickly, one of the cast members anonymously commented on the matter. In “Świat Gwiazd” she admitted that the fate of the series is uncertain, which puts nearly a hundred people involved in its creation in a problematic situation. – This is a dramatic situation for many actors, especially since the cost of living in Poland is increasing. Food prices are already rising, and electricity prices will soon skyrocket. We all have families and loans to repay, she said.
The station’s idea was supposedly influenced by, among other things, significant drops in viewership, which resulted from changing the broadcast time to an earlier one. However, the station did not respond to these reports, and subsequent episodes appeared on the air as announced. The production team also had no knowledge about a possible resumption of work on the set and the final decision was still awaited. Now, finally, everything has become clear.

On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, the last episode of “Leśniczówka” was broadcast. Telewizja Polska issued an official statement, published on its Facebook fanpage. It thanked viewers for following the complicated fates of the main characters in such large numbers over the past 6 years.
