Aleksander Ihnatowicz began his adventure with acting at a very young age. As a 5-year-old, he attended classes of the Tintilo group at the Rampa Theater, from where he moved to the “u Machulski” Theater Center. His film debut took place in 1997 in “Home Chronicles”. Further roles came quickly, and the young actor played, among others, in “King Maciuś I” and in “Dziady”. However, the role of Romek Latosz in the series “Foster Family” turned out to be a breakthrough., which brought him nationwide popularity. In the years 1999-2007 he played the role of a boy who found a new home with the Kwiatkowski family.
Popularity and acting challenges
The role of Romek in “Foster Family” made Ihnatowicz one of the most recognizable young stars in Poland. In an interview for “Angora”, the actor said:
It was an important period in my youth. Experience of a lifetime. (…) It was great fun. We liked this team very much. There was no tension or stress
However, working on the set also had its disadvantages. The hours he spent shooting often conflicted with his schoolwork.
There were many pluses, there were also minuses. There were days when I went to bed at twelve at night as a 10-year-old. And so it went for a few days, because that’s how the photos were taken and that’s how it went on the set. I was skipping school – that was the biggest problem. I had to change high school because not everyone accepted it
Changing your career path
After finishing his work in “Foster Family” in 2007, Ihnatowicz decided to end his acting career and focus on education. He chose computer science and graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology, earning a master’s degree in engineering. Already during his studies, he started programming and went on internships abroad.

Life after “Foster Family”
Currently, Aleksander Ihnatowicz is a respected programmer. After obtaining an engineering degree, he worked abroad, and after returning to Poland, he continued his master’s studies. His work focuses on programming and data analysis, which brings him satisfaction and the opportunity for continuous development.
Even though Ihnatowicz is not active on social media, it is known that in his free time he devotes himself to his passions. He loves sailing and spends time with his family and loved ones. His social media accounts are blocked from strangerswhich shows that he values privacy and peace.
