When we go shopping, we are usually guided by three criteria: budget, whether we like the pants and whether they fit us well. It turns out that there are three more things to check off the list, especially if we are looking for light-colored trousers. If we do not pay attention to them, we may be exposed to crooked glances and smiles. At least that’s what Aleksandra Pakuła, who has perfected her impeccable appearance, suggests.

On the etiquette specialist’s Instagram, we can find a lot of advice on both appropriate behavior in company and a flawless appearance. After all, it is also an element of savoir vivre. In one of her posts, she revealed some tips that we should follow when buying pants.

  1. Pocket color. If you buy white pants, make sure the pockets are not white. If they are, you will get the same effect as . So the pockets will stand out.
  2. Make sure the pockets don’t cut out. If the pants are tight around the thighs, the pockets may be very visible. Then a good solution is to simply cut them out.
  3. If you like to tuck your shirt or blouse into your pants, buy pants that are lined. If the material is too thin, the shirt will be see-through. However, this can be solved by choosing high-waisted panties into which you can tuck your shirt.
