Daniel Radcliffe was Harry Potter, now he’s a Tony Award winner

In all parts, of course, we will see Daniel Radcliffe in the title role. Just a few days ago, the actor who played Harry Potter for years received a Tony Award for his performance in the musical “Merrily We Roll Along” by Stephen Sondheim, in which he starred with also awarded Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez. The show was also recognized as the best revival of a musical.

Radcliffe, speaking about his performances on Broadway, thanked the theater community for the warm welcome and the opportunity to develop as an actor. He admitted that the years spent playing one role probably limited his opportunities in Hollywood in some way, because he was perceived through the prism of one role, but in the theater he could play very different characters for years. He made his Broadway debut in 2007.

Radcliffe, of course, also plays in films and series. His filmography includes, among others: “Notes of a Young Doctor”, “The Pocket Knife Man”, “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” and “The Lost City”. It is not known yet whether he will appear in the new version of the Harry Potter story. HBO is currently working on a series based on JK Rowling’s novel.
