Precisely, this June 20 marks four decades since Kortatu published the first model of it.

The tour will start in Tenerife on January 18; On January 24, Muguruza will play with his band of nine musicians at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona; and on February 15 the appointment is established, above the vetoes that he has suffered in the city, at the Wizink Center in Madrid, where he has not played since he did so in 2003 with Manu Chao.

The next concerts will be those in Santiago de Compostela (March 15), Paris (March 21), Toulouse (March 28), Marsella (March 29), Zurich (April 12) and Berlin (April 16).

In May, it will be America’s turn: Santiago de Chile (May 20), Buenos Aires (May 24), Bogotá (May 28) and Mexico (May 31).

A concert is scheduled later, on June 7, in Rome, and on June 14, Fermin Muguruza will offer a massive concert in San Sebastiánat the Reale Arena stadium.

“Celebration”

Muguruza has expressed his hope that “these concerts become a celebration against censorship and the recent attacks by the extreme right at a global and individual level”: “I hope that these concerts are special for everyone, through music, dance and vindication, an exercise in collective memory, a celebration of life and rejection of fascism, a ceremony of hugs”.

In the performances you will hear songs from his time in Kortatu, Negu Gorriak and alone, “at least one from each album I have released.” For this he will have at his side the musicians Lide Hernando (guitar and choirs), Miryam “Matah” (choirs), Victor Navarreta (bass), Gerard “Chalart 58” (percussions and dub), Xabi Solano (trikitixa), Jon Elizalde (trombone), Aritz Lonbide (trumpet), Igor Ruiz “Fino” (sax) and Gloria Maurel (drums) and technicians Angel Katarain and Ania Rodriguez.
