You can now watch the latest series “We Were Lucky” on Disney Plus. This is a moving story of a family from Radom that was separated at the beginning of World War II.

“We Were Lucky” is a production based on Georgia Hunter’s best-selling novel of the same title. The story was inspired by the true story of the Jewish Kurc family, which was separated during the Holocaust. The plot of the series created by Erika Lipez follows a family across different continents, and the characters do everything in their power to survive and reunite.

“The series is a testimony to how, in the face of the darkest moments of the 20th century, the human spirit can not only survive, but even flourish. The series is a tribute to the triumph of hope and love that overcome all adversities,” we read in the production description.

The series stars: Joey King, Logan Lerman, Hadas Yaron, Henry-Lloyd Hughes, Amit Rahav, Sam Woolf, Michael Aloni, Moran Rosenblatt, Eva Feiler, Lior Ashkenazi and Robin Weigert. The writer and showrunner of the series is Erica Lipez. The author of the novel “We were lucky” was one of the producers of the series.

The production debuted abroad in March. The series gained great recognition from viewers and critics. On Rotten Tomatos, reviewers rated the film 92%. on the freshness scale, the audience scores 84. Viewers praise the actress playing one of the main roles – Joey King. “She is extremely versatile, she can choose projects well,” we read in the comments. “I have goosebumps when I watch it”, “great music”, “impeccable acting” – others write.
