In the Polish People’s Republic, women used it instead of collagen. Grandma’s trick for wrinkles, joints and strong hair

Is eating jelly healthy? Usually when you reach for it, you want to satisfy your craving for something sweet. However, our grandmothers already knew what a beneficial effect it has on joints, bones and beauty. It is possible that you unknowingly provide your body with a large dose of valuable collagen.

Jelly has always been on our tables. It is a perfect dessert, especially during the summer heat. Taken straight from the fridge, it provides us with the desired refreshment and satisfies the desire for a sweet snack. It contains collagen, which is a very desirable ingredient for many women.

What is collagen good for? You will find a real bomb in this tasty jelly

No matter what flavor of jelly you choose, it will have a beneficial effect on the body. It contains collagen – a key protein that occurs naturally in the human body. It is a building material, among others: skin, joints, bones and connective tissues, and its deficiency may lead to many health consequences. Why is it worth supplementing collagen?

  • Ensures joint health. Its presence in cartilage and tendons affects the flexibility of joints, which reduces the chance of injury.
  • It has a positive effect on the skin. About 80 percent its dry matter is collagen, which ensures firmness and elasticity. It helps reduce wrinkles and slows down the first signs of aging. With age, its production in the body decreases, which is why it becomes limp and more delicate.
  • Improves the appearance of hair. Collagen co-creates hair fibers, making them healthier and stronger.
  • Supports intestinal health. Thanks to the fact that it helps in their reconstruction and healing, it contributes to better absorption of nutrients. It also has a positive effect on the microflora in the intestines.

Most of the properties of jelly are due to the collagen content in gelatin. When we add fruit to it, we also enrich it with valuable vitamins and minerals. We must pay attention to the fact that store-bought instant jellies contain a large portion of sugar, so the best solution is to make a homemade snack without it. To prepare it, you will need: half a liter of homemade fruit juice, e.g. raspberry, 3 teaspoons of gelatin, a handful of fruit . First, pour gelatin into a cup, pour 4 tablespoons of cold water over it, mix and leave to swell. After about 10 minutes, put it in a pot and dissolve it over low heat, without boiling. Heat the juice in another pot and when it is warm, add gelatin. Mix thoroughly to avoid lumps. Pour into a bowl, add cleaned fruit and put in the fridge to harden.

ADVICE! If you like sweet flavors, add a sweetener to the juice when cooking. Erythritol, stevia or xylitol will work well here. However, be careful not to overdo it.
