At the end of last year, Polsat stopped broadcasting “Cabaret Live”, and old episodes of the TV show disappeared from the Polsat Box Go library. The decision was not consulted with comedians from Kabaret Moralny Niepokoju and Kabaret Młodych Panów. As a result, at the end of November, the cabaret artists broke off cooperation with the station.
Cabarets return to Polsat
A few months later, they appeared on Polish Television, which organized a cabaret at the festival in Opole for the first time in several years. The new president of Polsat extended his hand of consent to the cabaret artists. “He invited us to a meeting. The magic word was ‘I’m sorry’. He was invited back to the renewed television, which will not repeat past mistakes,” explained Robert Górski from Kabaret Moralny Niepokoju during his visit to Kanał Zero. A little later, the station decided to broadcast the recording from the “Rybnicka Jesień Kabaretowa” which was in the archive.
However, live performances, which had been a long-running battle between cabaret artists and Polsat itself, did not return to the schedule. Instead, the Koszalin Cabaret Festival will soon be broadcast, which this year will be launched under the slogan “Commission of Inquiry”. The event will be broadcast on July 27 from 8 p.m. During this year’s cabaret, the stage will feature performances by Jerzy Kryszak, Jurki, Probably, Rak, Koń Polski, Kabaret Małżeński, Zdolni i Skromni, Czesuaf and the multimedia group Fakty Autentyczne with Ewa Błachnio and Piotr Gumulec. However, the artists will not include comedians from Kabaret Moralny Niepokoju and Kabaret Młodych Panów.
