Now it turns out that its refreshed version will soon debut on small screens.

It is impossible not to notice that Polish Television has recently been undergoing a real revolution, also in terms of programming. However, the current management of the station does not intend to give up on all the projects initiated by its predecessors, and one of them is the revival of cinema classics from decades ago. The decision was to be influenced by, among others: high viewing figures for cult productions, but also the success of the new Netflix or prequel.
Apparently, it was decided to strike while the iron is hot and take advantage of this trend, because, as Pudelek reports, the station has decided to produce a new version of “Trędowata” with Leszek Teleszyński in the main roles. This time it will be a series in which all attention will be focused on the misalliance, completely omitting the side plots. What is known about the production?

It’s no secret that he has an incredible talent for costume productions set in the realities of the Polish province. Suffice it to mention “The Century of the Guilty”, “Dewajtis” and , which were not only appreciated by viewers, attracting crowds to the screens during broadcast hours, but also by critics. Although the bar is set high, the new “Leper” has all the predispositions to become an even bigger hit, because the station does not intend to spare a penny for its implementation. – If everything goes well, it may turn into a series and a movie, just like in the good old days – the portal’s informant told the outlet.
The project is at an early stage, so all its details are not known yet, but it is certain that the cast will include not only new faces, but also real legends of cinema. One of them will be Starostecka, who flawlessly created the character of Stefania years ago. However, it is not known what role she will play this time, because the list of candidates for the famous governess already includes such names as Michalina Łabacz, Zofia Wichłacz, Sonia Mietielica and Maria Kowalska. – It seems to me that regardless of the times we live in, the problems that exist in society remain relevant. The question is rather whether this book, this text, is leading today when it comes to young people. I do not know. But I know that the love story is relevant at all times – she assessed Starosteck’s idea in an interview with Super Express, adding that she would not like to play anyone else except Stefcia. – I became so famous in the role of Stefcia that I probably shouldn’t play another one – she said.
