The best time is March and April, when the plant has no flowers yet, but the treatment can also be performed after the flowering period, e.g. at the end of summer or even in October. Before transplanting, we remove all the shoots at a height of 15 cm and then dig around to remove the lump of earth along with the roots. We put it in a hole, which should be twice as large as the previous one, so that the hydrangea can root freely.

ADVICE! We only repot hydrangeas if there are no frosts outside, otherwise the plant will die.

How to nourish hydrangea? Homemade fertilizers will improve development and flowering

After transplanting hydrangeas, do not forget to water them. It is also worth using a plant that will support the growth and improve rooting of the plant. We can make conditioner from products that many of us have in the kitchen.

  • Coffee grounds. Mix a tablespoon of grounds with a liter of water and then water hydrangeas and other ornamental plants and conifers.
  • Eggshells should be poured with boiling water and set aside for a week. After this time, strain the mixture and water the garden.
  • Tea it has a fungicidal effect and increases the acidity of the soil. Just leave the grounds to cool and then pour them under the plants.
