The press office of the Warner Bros. film studio has just informed about another Polish production that will be released by this legendary studio. A movie called “Beautiful!” will tell the story of several characters who are loosely related to each other for family or professional reasons. However, they will all have one thing in common: excessive expectations of themselves and others and perceiving their lives through the prism of appearance.
The new film by Warner Bros. promises to be a cross-section of Polish society and its weaknesses
Absorbed in motherhood, Magda (Marta Nieradkiewicz) misses her old life and body before pregnancy. Once strong and ambitious, she now struggles with the feeling of losing her own identity and place in life. She wants to fight for herself, but she needs help from Maciek (Mikołaj Roznerski), who is busy with his career, and who does not seem to understand his wife’s dilemmas… Magda is supported by her friend Baśka (Marta Ścisłowicz), a crazy and independent art teacher who puts an issue in male-female relationships. clearly: sex – yes, love – no.
This is quite a challenge for Kuba (Konrad Eleryk), a gym teacher who is in love with her and waits patiently for Baśka to give him a chance for something more… At work, Baśka gains the trust and sympathy of young people with her unconventional ideas. He inspires his students, forces them to reflect, and sometimes gives them courage and self-confidence, especially the secretive and insecure Klaudia (Wiktoria Bylinka), who lags behind the rest of the class.
Krystyna (Hanna Śleszyńska) feels invisible to her husband Władek (Olaf Lubaszenko), she would like to break the routine and feel passion again in her long-term relationship. Their adult children Maciek (Mikołaj Roznerski) and Julka (Kamila Urzędowska) live their own lives. It would seem that this is their time. Meanwhile, Władek, stunned by his wife’s sudden interest, does not know if he is ready for any changes?

According to the creators’ announcement, “Beautiful!” is to be “a wise, funny and moving film about human weaknesses, finding one’s own path and the strength that is born from internal rebellion and leads to self-acceptance.” The director is Katia Priwieziencew, who directed “Alpha Male”. The screenwriter of the film is Katarzyna Sarnowska (“(Nie)znajomi”, “Narzeczony na nieby”).
The co-producer of the film is, among others, TVN Warner Bros. Discovery and the Masovian and Warsaw Film Fund. The film is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. Photos for “Beautiful!” started in June and will last until mid-July 2024. The film will be widely distributed on February 7, 2025. However, it is not known whether it will be a cinema premiere or only on a streaming platform.
