The beginnings of the crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border date back to the holidays in 2021. At that time, our country was governed by the United Right, which pursued anti-immigration policy. Moreover, it was constantly glorified in the programs of the then TVP. Many people of culture and art publicly criticized the decisions of the government, and some of them even decided to go to the border and help refugees.

Moreover, two years later, the actress starred in Agnieszka Holland’s famous film entitled “The Green Border”, which also talks about the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border. The government of that time conducted a massive campaign against the director and the title itself, and a month later it lost the parliamentary elections, losing the necessary majority to rule independently.
Recently, the situation on the border has become increasingly tense, and the currently ruling October 15 coalition pursues a similar policy on this issue and continues to use pushbacks. The actress did not want to talk to the reporter of the Sakiewicz station, directly accusing him of attacking her, but he did not give up. – You are attacking me. Of course, I have nothing to apologize for. I feel very sorry for the family of the murdered soldier. That’s all I have to say. I didn’t do anything wrong to the border guards. I didn’t take part in the hate. And please don’t attack me. (…) I am very sorry that something so tragic happened. And I am very sorry that there is such chaos at the border, she replied.

However, the reporter of “real Polish news” still sought sensation and asked the actress directly: “So these are no longer mothers with children?” – There are also mothers with children at the border. Two weeks ago there were photos: mothers with a tiny child, a newborn and underage girls from Somalia – said Maja Ostaszewska. Then an employee of Republika TV decided to turn the tables and tried to provoke the actress again: “Are these underage girls throwing stones?”
The artist began to explain that such a group includes various people from all over the world, among whom there may be a dangerous person, but they are not small children. Ultimately, she cut off the conversation and the right-wing TV employee left.
Is that how you think children attack? Really? Small children do not attack, this is a very diverse group, these are people from different countries. And of course, there can always be someone dangerous in such a group. (…) Please leave me alone.
