The universal obligation to segregate waste is nothing new, as it was introduced a few years ago. However, some people still have a problem with it. Concerns often concern not only food packaging, but also leftovers. What container should chicken bones be placed in?
How to segregate waste correctly? Many people make mistakes
Sorting waste seems to be a relatively simple task. Especially since we usually only have five factions at our disposal. How is waste divided?
- Metals and plastics, i.e. containers yellow,
- Mixed, i.e. containers black,
- Glass, containers green,
- Paper, i.e. containers blue,
- Kitchen waste, also called bio, containers Brown.

It happens that in some communes there is a distinction between colorless and colored glass. However, although the rules seem clear and clear at first glance, many things are still questionable. This is the case, among others, with leftovers. It turns out that they should not always go into the bio container.
Which container should I put chicken bones into? Not brown at all
You made a delicious chicken for dinner, with only cubes left, and now you don’t know where to throw them away? Contrary to appearances, it is not the brown bio waste container. Although these are definitely food leftovers, should go to the black container, i.e. where the garbage is mixed. All because they are animal residues, and we primarily throw away vegetable residues, such as peelings, shells and skins, as well as bread, coffee grounds and egg shells. In addition, the following may end up there: mowed grass, shredded branches, flowers, sawdust or bark. If you feel like it, vote in our poll below.
