Even though the holidays are fast approaching, Netflix is not slowing down. The streaming giant has just presented a trailer for its latest series titled “Desperate Lies”, which has a chance to become a hit on the platform. This is a Brazilian production whose plot is supposed to be really confusing!
There will be too many lies in “Desperate Lies”. The main character collects secrets
The main character of the series is Liana, who is in a rare case of heteropaternal pregnancy, i.e. one in which twins have different fathers. So far, about 20 such unusual cases have been confirmed around the world. In “Desperate Lies”, this situation will turn the current life of the heroine and her family upside down. Liana will wonder if she will be able to love both children equally.
“Boy or girl? At the gender reveal party, Liana (Juliana Paes) is neither excited nor truly happy nor does she have any expectations. She already knows the answer – and it’s not quite what you’d expect. There are two boys : twins, each with a different father – one is the son of her husband Tomás (Vladimir Brichta), and the other is the result of something she would rather forget. In Netflix’s first Brazilian series, the plot revolves around a very specific question: how many secrets can a mother keep? – we read in the description of the series.

The series was produced by A Fábrica under the direction of Maurício Farias and written by Angela Chaves. The series stars, among others: Juliana Paes, Vladimir Brichta, Felipe Abib, Palomma Duarte, João Vitti, Jussara Freire, Martha Nowill and Antonio Grassi. The official premiere on the platform will take place on July 5.
