The change to Max is not just a cosmetic rebranding. Preparations for the launch of the platform in Poland lasted almost a year. Max officially launches in Poland on June 11 and announces changes. The website will offer as many as 27,000 hours of content, of which 25 percent these are Polish productions.

On the Max platform, users will find the highest quality content from global brands such as HBO, DC, Warner Bros, Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network, TVN and Player Originals. On the day of the premiere of the new platform, viewers will be able to watch the first episode of the fourth season of the series “Skazana”. So far, the production has been available on Player. This is not the last such change. “Szadź” will also be transferred from Player to Max. The new platform will invest in Polish productions, with work currently underway on over 15 more local works to be shown on the Max platform over the next two years. The nearest plans include the premiere of the next season of “Thaw”, a new series “Lady Love” about the porn industry in the 1970s and 1980s, and the production of “Przesmyk”.
In addition, Max will invest in its own documents. Later this year, Polish Max Original documentaries will debut on the website – “The King of Zanzibar”, “The Skin Hunters” and “Hope” by Martyna Wojciechowska. New investments result from the increased budget obtained by the Polish branch of the company. What’s more, domestic productions will immediately be available on the global version of the website in other language versions. Max in Poland – prices. There will be three packages available
As part of the new offer, Max offers three subscription packages in Poland tailored to the various needs of recipients. Basic Package for PLN 19.99 PLN 199 per month or PLN 199 per year offers Full HD quality and access to the TVN HD linear channel, but its attractive price requires consent to advertising. Standard Package for PLN 29.99 per month and PLN 299 per year includes advertising-free viewing, access to HBO, HBO 2, HBO 3 and TVN HD linear channels and the ability to download 30 titles that can then be watched offline. The Premium package is the most expensive option – PLN 49.99 per month or PLN 499 per year. The number of devices on which content can be viewed simultaneously increases from two to four, and the quality is also better – in this option, some titles can be watched in 4K with Dolby Atmos sound, and 100 available titles (including 30 films) can be downloaded for offline viewing.
Each user can buy an additional one “TV and Sport Channels” package for PLN 20 per month. Thanks to it, the subscriber will have access to 25 live channels and will be able to watch coverage of the most important sports events, including tennis Grand Slams, the Ski Jumping World Cup, Speedway Grand Prix, cycling grand tours, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and many others.
Max in Poland. What will change?
Current users of Player, which, along with Max, is part of the Warner Bros. streaming portfolio. Discovery, will have the opportunity to take advantage of the promotion prepared for them for subscription packages on the debuting website. Via direct communication on the Player platform and e-mail, users will receive information on how to take advantage of the special offer.
Current HBO Max users will keep their previous subscription plan, service price, platform features and functionality, including profiles, viewing history and titles in the “continue watching” and “my list” sections – all of which will be waiting for them on the Max platform. On the launch date of the Max service, HBO Max subscribers will have to download the new application and log in to their account to gain access to a catalog of series, films and programs that is more than twice as large. Users who use the service via a web browser will be automatically redirected to Max.
