On June 6, Telewizja Republika posted a new one on the Wirtualne Media website. The station is looking for employees for the positions of sound engineer, studio camera operator, camera operator and vision producer. “Telewizja Republika is a Polish television channel with a journalistic and information profile. Reliable news, top-level journalism and documentaries that you will not see anywhere else. News services, live broadcasts, cyclical magazines, cultural programs and reports. Telewizja Republika is a channel broadcasting program 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” we read in the introduction to the announcement.
TV Republika is looking for a new strip
The duties of a person employed as a vision producer will include, among others, writing and releasing beams, i.e. captions for transmitted materials, setting up the studio, independently solving problems and technical faults, and organizing work between the publisher, vision realization, studio operator, sound engineer, and broadcasting technician. . TV Republika requires specific skills from candidates, including: knowledge of set lighting techniques, working on a green screen and producing multi-camera live programs. Interestingly, the employer mentions in the advertisement the so-called “additional unsanctioned duties”, i.e. handling two control rooms at the same time and fulfilling the duties of other positions in the event of staff shortages.
In return, TV Republika offers candidates “an excellent working atmosphere and many challenges” and “the opportunity to have a real impact on the construction and development of a new, dynamically developing TV station.” Although the station posted as many as four advertisements on the website, none of them includes a salary rate or at least a range that would inform potential candidates whether the selected position meets their financial requirements.
