Roses, although they are a charming decoration of every home flowerbed, often require a good hand to care for them. When they open their flowers, they fade away quite quickly, leaving behind a longing for a beautiful view. If this situation makes you sad, consider planting a groundcover rose. It blooms for a long time, smells beautiful and comes in many intense colors.
Which roses are the easiest to grow? Let yourself be enchanted by these flowers
There is a certain group of roses that are easy to grow and should not cause you any major problems. Ground cover roses are characterized by high resistance to weather conditions (including frost) and diseases. They develop perfectly, making them suitable for covering large areas. Their small flowers are characterized by strong colors, and the petals are loose and fall quickly. The flowering period is summer and autumn, so if you want to enjoy the sight of roses for a long time, definitely choose a groundcover variety. They can be grown practically anywhere, even in pots and boxes, so they can successfully decorate a balcony or terrace. Most roses from this group attract bees and other pollinating insects, so it is worth planting them near the vegetable garden. Additionally, they suppress the growth of weeds and act as a natural blockade for some pests.
How to care for groundcover roses? There is no “black magic” in it
Groundcover roses are extremely graceful plants. If you provide them with the right conditions, they will grow beautifully, bloom for a long time and will not get sick. These plants love sunny positions, but they can also cope in partial shade. They grow well in fertile, permeable soil, so it is worth digging up the soil and mixing it with compost or horse manure before planting. These roses need a lot of water during drought, so remember to water them every day in the evening. However, remember not to flood the leaves and flowers.

ADVICE! The plants require pruning and this must be done every spring. Appropriate fertilization will help them stay healthy and bloom for a long time, so do this three times a year: in early spring, just after cutting the shoots, in mid-summer and early autumn. For this purpose, it is best to make homemade one, which is perfect for any period. If you feel like it, vote in our poll below.
