Initially, the couple suspected that the mysterious room was nothing more than a septic tank. The truth turned out to be different. – We live on Lake Huron and we discovered that the room is connected to it by a two-meter pipe – the woman revealed. The end of the pipe led to the previously mentioned lake. The Huron is a body of water that “separates” the USA from Canada. It is the fourth largest in the world and is divided into four parts.
What was the flooded room used for? There are many theories
There are many theories surrounding the mysterious room. One of them says that during World War II, brine was loaded at home on freighters, i.e. merchant ships. Another theory assumes that during the Prohibition the room was used to smuggle alcohol from Canada. “We find a lot of bottles in our neighborhood,” Hayley noted. According to the website, almost a hundred years ago this area was crucial for the illegal smuggling of high-proof alcoholic beverages.
