Users spent 37,20,000 hours watching the adaptation of the novel by Małgorzata Oliwia Sobczak, which gave the production first place on the global list of Top 10 foreign-language films. Just 24 hours after its premiere, “Colors of Evil: Red” took second place in the global Netflix top list. Taking first place turned out to be a matter of time. Moreover, on June 2, “The Color of Evil” was watched much more eagerly than the latest sci-fi production with Jennifer Lopez, “Atlas”. The new crime film directed by Adrian Panek was not only at the top of the list of Top 10 films among Polish viewers, but was also included in this list in 88 other countries, such as: Argentina, Ecuador, Austria, Finland, Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Spain, Great Britain and Sweden. He also took first place in, among others, in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Venezuela and Uruguay.

You should also know that the film differs significantly from the book in terms of how the main character was created. – Film Bilski is different from literary Bilski. In the book, the hero, for example, fights a hangover or has adventures with women. The idea of the film was to create a character of someone who is morally transparent – said Gierszał in an interview for Gazeta.pl. – It was an interesting challenge for me precisely because I would not have chosen it myself. Or I wouldn’t think of myself in such terms. I thought maybe I was too young for such a role. I wasn’t really sure if it was for me, but on the other hand I wanted to do it. I wanted to play someone who represents the law and is not on the evil side, but the good side. It seemed to me that it was a challenge to play someone who maintains a high moral core and at the same time does not have the typical accoutrements of the genre. Usually, there are threads in the character of such characters that are intended to enrich them, such as struggles with the past – he emphasized in our conversation.
And what exactly is the movie about? “When the sea washes up the body of a young girl on the shore of a Tri-City beach, an ambitious prosecutor discovers that the circumstances resemble a crime from fifteen years ago. When his superior forbids the reopening of a closed case, the man begins cooperation with the victim’s mother – a judge struggling to rebuild her life after the loss of her daughter. “The duo, united by their determination to discover the truth, begins a dangerous investigation that leads to one of the seaside clubs and the local underworld associated with it,” he encouraged in the summary.
