in recent years she was a real star of Polish Television. The host of “Pytanie na breakfast” dealt not only with entertainment, but also as an emcee of concerts organized by TVP in defense of the good name of the Polish Army (“Wall za polskiego uniform”) and, for some time, co-hosted the sarcastic program “In contra” alongside Jarosław Jakimowicz. In an interview with Pomponik, she recalled the changes in TVP.
Anna Popek sharply about changes in TVP
Like most of the “faces” of the old TVP, Anna Popek found a new job at the extreme TV Republika. He hosts a breakfast program there, in which, as he says, he influences what happens on the air. There is no good opinion about how Polish Television has changed in recent months. In an interview with Pomponik she mentioned, among others: on how to remove some employees:
I think that the cruel way in which many employees of Telewizja Polska were said goodbye will accelerate the collapse of this company, and this is what is happening before our eyes. I think that this type of stationary, traditional television is no longer important – she said, as if forgetting that TV Republika is currently applying for a license to broadcast in a nationwide multiplex, thanks to which it will become available in stationary and traditional formats in every home in Poland.
She also added that currently TVP programs, emotions and topics are not conducive to improving the situation.
I know a lot of people don’t watch. Poles are ostentatiously divided by the programs or topics proposed there. Television evokes such emotions… I have so many topics that move me that I don’t need an additional source of nervousness such as a TV program – whether it’s sloppily made or ideological – she added.
Fortunately, Anna Popek now works in a company that has nothing to do with ideology or sloppiness.
This is a station that gives a lot of creative opportunities, which is what I have always wanted and could not have on Telewizja Polska for many years – the ability to influence the shape of the program, the guests, what is said and how it is said. I discover my talent for scenography, when we arrange the studio a bit, I discover my talent for publishing or inventing topics – she praised TV Republika.
Is the ability to discover new talents related to staff shortages? Maybe.
