Last month, the website was transformed in our southern neighbors, i.e. the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Now it’s time for Poland. A week before the premiere of the Warner Bros. platform Discovery provided prices for individual packages. Each of them offers a slightly different range of services made available to subscribers. As announced, Max users will be able to choose one of three packages: basic, standard and premium, each with the option of purchasing a monthly or annual subscription.
Max enters Poland – three packages to choose from
The cheapest package will cost PLN 19.99 per month or PLN 199 per year. Apparently, this is a change for the better, because the current price of the package on HBO Max is PLN 29.99 per month and PLN 234.99 per year. The problem, however, is in the details. As part of the cheapest Max package, users will be able to watch films and series with advertising on two devices at the same time and in Full HD quality. They will also have access to the TVN HD linear channel. In the case of this package, we can talk about a really sensible move on the part of Warner Bros. Discovery. The advertising package is an option well known to users of the Polish Player, but it is still over PLN 4 cheaper than the one offered by Max. Interestingly, so far every HBO Max user had access to the linear channels HBO, HBO 2, HBO 3, which were not included in the basic package.
As part of the standard package, which is to be the equivalent of the only currently available option in HBO Max, users will be able to watch films and series without advertisements on two devices simultaneously in Full HD quality. Additionally, they will be able to download up to 30 titles and access to the linear channels HBO, HBO 2, HBO 3 and TVN HD. For this package, subscribers will have to pay PLN 29.99 per month or PLN 299 per year. In the case of this package, not only the annual price will change, but also the quality of the material provided to users and the number of devices on which they will be able to watch the content at the same time. As for quality – HBO Max currently provides Polish subscribers with content in 4K with HDR, which will not be available in the standard package. As for the number of devices – films and series can currently be watched by three users at the same time, which is more than in the standard package announced by Max.
Viewers will get everything that has been available so far by purchasing a premium package for PLN 49.99 per month or PLN 499 per year. Under this option, subscribers will be able to watch films and series without ads, in Full HD or 4K quality and on four devices at the same time. Additionally, they will be able to download up to 100 titles and access to the linear channels HBO, HBO 2, HBO 3 and TVN HD. For PLN 20 per month, each platform user will be able to purchase an additional package “TV and Sport Channels”, which will provide access to an additional library of 25 live channels: TVN24, TVN24 BiS, CNN, Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2, TVN 7, TTV, METRO, TVN Style, TVN Turbo, TVN FabuĊa, Warner TV, HGTV, Travel Channel, Food Network, Animal Planet, Cartoon Network, Cartoonito, ID, TLC, Discovery Channel, Discovery Historia, Discovery Life, Discovery Science and DTX.
