Plumbing experts agreed and said it also works as a brilliant mold repellent. Vinegar consists of acetic acid, which is a natural disinfectant that kills most common germs. To maximize the chances of a positive result, spray the affected area with the vinegar solution and wash the area with warm water after about an hour. Be sure to dry the surface thoroughly with a towel to prevent mold from growing back.
