Peruvian designer Genaro Rivas at London Fashion Week

“Aerion” is the first men’s collection presented by Genaro Rivas in the Week of Fashion in London, marking Peru’s second consecutive appearance at this prestigious event.

Inspired by the play of light and shadow, Rivas imbues his designs with a futuristic aesthetic and a forward-thinking nod to his Peruvian heritage.

Using ethically sourced materials, such as alpaca wool and bamboo fibers with Incalpaca silk, the collection fuses tradition and innovation. In addition to including hand-loomed garments.

Shades of concrete with touches of red-orange, ecru and blue create a timeless and modern palette, while organic shapes and sustainable fabrics reinforce Rivas’ commitment to responsible fashion.

Beyond style, Rivas highlights the transformative power of fashion. Continuing with his East Fusion project, a project led by Genaro who, thanks to the support of the Foundation For Future London and the Westfield Creative Future Funds, managed to develop a manual for collection development in East London. All during Rivas’ studies at the London College of Fashion.

Aerion also has garments made of thermoformed acrylic, handcrafted by Rivas himself. All with a zero waste vision.

The music has been produced by Nicolás Prado, from the Prado project in Peru. Thus achieving a mix of culture and talent to complement the collection.

The parade will take place on Saturday the 8th in London, marking the second consecutive participation of a Peruvian designer on this global platform.
