Cezary Pazura’s professional success is proven not only by his extensive filmography and numerous awards, but also by the fact that he constantly receives new offers for roles in new productions. Only in 2024, he appeared in “Fuks 2″, Powstaniec 1863” and “People”, which constitutes a small percentage of his acting achievements. Why didn’t Cezary Pazura get into acting school?
After graduating from the 2nd Secondary School named after Stefan Żeromski in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Cezary Pazura tried to get into a theater school – unfortunately without success. He talked about what led to the rejection of his candidacy in an interview with Fakt. “I lacked points for origin, it was the fault of the communist system that prevailed at that time. The point is that people from working-class and peasant families had an additional 9 points. Even though I came from a small town, I did not have these points because my father was a teacher “If I had them, I would have been second on the list. But I was second and I didn’t get in,” said the actor.
When Cezary Pazura did not get into his dream studies, he chose a slightly different path – he enrolled in the Post-Secondary School of Gastronomy. There he waited a year and then tried his hand at film school again, to which he was finally accepted in 1981. While still a student, he started working at the Ochota Theater in Warsaw, where he performed until 1991. He also gained professional experience as an actor at the Studio Theater ’83.
