The Valdegovía Schubertíada will be celebrated in July with five concerts

The seventh edition of the Schubertíada of the Valdegovía region (Álava) will offer five concerts from July 5 to 27 on the stages of the Church of San Martín de Bachicabo, that of Nuestra Señora de Tuesta and the Church of Salvador de Espejo.

Sara Blanch will sing songs by Toldrà and Montsalvatge, as well as Debussy and other French composers, accompanied on the piano on Friday, July 5, at Tuesta, two months before making her debut at La Scala in Milan.

The next day, Saturday the 6th, also in Tuesta, it will be the turn of the Chinese tenor Zhuohan Sun, with works by Schubert, Schumann, Wolf and Mahler’s youth cycle ‘Songs of a Wandering Comrade’.

On Saturday the 13th, in Espejo, Patricia Cordero, Cristina Cordero, Montserrat Egea, Jorge Martínez and Juan Barahona, will perform together the Piano Quintet, D. 677 ‘La trout’, by Schubert.

On Saturday the 20th, at Tuesta, baritone Samuel Hasselhorn will perform ‘La bella molinera’ accompanied by Ammiel Bushakevitz.

The festival will close in Bachicabo on Saturday the 27th with the string Cosmos Quartet, which will perform works by Schubert, Webern and Brahms.

The subscription costs 50 euros, although Blanch’s concert is not available for subscription.
