In 1964, Aleksander Ścibor-Rylski entrusted her with the main role in the psychological film “Late Afternoon”. On the set, the newly graduated student of the Warsaw theater school met Wiesław Rutowicz, a camera operator who was 13 years her senior, and she fell head over heels in love with her, and it was mutual. The feeling blossomed and right after the premiere they decided to get married.

The lovers even planned a future together, but unexpectedly dark clouds hung over their relationship.
All because Zawadzka was courted by Łomnicki’s greatest professional rival, with whom she played in the play “Life is a Dream” at the Dramatic Theater. When he found out that his beloved also had feelings for him, he decided to break up. In 1973, Zawadzka married Holoubek, with whom she spent 35 years. In turn, he got married twice more, and his last wife was Maria Bojarska.
