The American Film Institute ranked Grace Kelly 13th on its list of the greatest actresses of all time. Unfortunately for film, her career didn’t last long. After roles in films such as “High Noon”, “Mogambo”, “Girl from the Country” and “M jak miłość”, she abandoned Hollywood for love. In 1956, she married Prince Reiner III and became Princess of Monaco. The Cannes Film Festival was important to her not only professionally, because it was thanks to it that she met her husband.

In 1955, Grace Kelly was one of the biggest Hollywood stars to appear at the festival. During her stay in France, the actress was invited to take part in a photo session at the Palace of Monaco in the company of the prince. They got married a year later. The couple had three children: Karolina Louise Małgorzata, Albert Alexander Louis Pierre and Stefania Maria Elisabeth. Charlotte was born as the second child of businessman and athlete Stefan Casiraghi and Princess Caroline. She graduated in philosophy, worked in journalism, represented Monaco in horse riding, and is a film producer. She has a son with a French comedy actor of Moroccan origin, Gad Elmaleh, and with Dimitri Rassam, a film producer, son of French actress Carole Bouquet and film producer Jean-Pierre Rassam. Now she is in a relationship with the writer Nicolas Mathieu.
She didn’t recognize her grandmother, Charlotte Casiraghi. Princess Grace died in a car accident. On September 13, 1982, she suffered an apoplectic attack while driving a vehicle in which her daughter Stefania was traveling with her. The car fell into the abyss. Stefania suffered minor injuries, but the duchess was diagnosed with an irreversible brain injury and the decision was made to disconnect her from the equipment.
