One of the most recognizable Polsat series is “Świat dla Kiepskich”, which has had over thirty seasons. Although the Polish sitcom is not an adaptation, one may get the impression that it was modeled on the American series “Świat dla Bundych”, which was also shown in Poland by Telewizja Polsat.

The first episode of the production depicting a dysfunctional American family premiered in 1987 and immediately became a great success overseas. However, the series also caused considerable controversy. Pro-family social activists accused the creators of the production of obscene humor and showing homosexual people, which at that time aroused great opposition among conservative society.

Almost forty years after its premiere, “The World According to the Bundys” is no longer so shocking, and many people treat the cult sitcom from years ago with a certain distance. The series in Poland has not been available on any streaming service so far, but that has now changed. The first two seasons of the sitcom are now available on the Polsat Box Go platform. At the moment, it is not known whether the remaining series will be available on the website.

Subscribers of the website have recently been able to watch the cult “Nanny” with Agnieszka Dygant in the main role. The series was premiered by TVN, but in 2019 the rights to broadcast the sitcom were bought by Polsat, which initially showed it only on television.
