As every year, on Friday, December 24, almost all Poles will share the wafer and sit down to the Christmas Eve supper. What to do after dinner? One option is to turn on the TV, as TV stations are preparing a special TV program for this day to make the beginning of Christmas pleasant.
What’s on TV today? Christmas Eve on December 24
On Christmas Eve, the TV program is dominated by classic items, i.e. carols and Christmas-themed films that have been hosted in the homes of Poles on this day for years.
In the afternoon and early evening hours, the largest TV stations in Poland, i.e. Polsat, TVP 1 and TVN, put on broadcasts of Christmas carols concerts, which will start at around 1 p.m. and will last until 8 p.m.

In the evening hours, the biggest Polish stations decided to broadcast classic Christmas films. In 2021, the greatest Christmas classic cannot be missed, i.e. the film that will be available on Christmas Eve at 8 p.m. on Polsat. The film tells the adventures of eight-year-old Kevin McCallister, who was left home alone while his family went to France for Christmas. They realized about the boy’s absence only on the plane. At the same time, burglars are prowling in the single-family housing estate where the family lives. The eight-year-old, played by Macaulay Culkin, tries to protect his household.
After the end of the hit movie, Polsat will be able to watch another comedy about Christmas. “Why him?” – tells the story of the father (played by Bryan Cranston known from the series “Breaking Bad”), who takes his family to his daughter for Christmas and begins to compete with her boyfriend (Jason Franco). The American movie will be available from 10:10 pm.
TVN decided to make a Christmas-themed production that stole the hearts of millions of Poles. It’s about “Letters to M.”, which will be available on TVN from 20:25. The film tells the story of five women and five men who discover love during the Christmas season. In “Letters to M.” well-known Polish actors, such as Maciej Stuhr, Roma Gąsiorowska, Piotr Adamczyk and Tomasz Karolak, play.
TVP 1 has decided to premiere the third season of the hit series in recent months. The transmission of the first episode of the Zniewolona 3 series will be available from 20:15.
