Reese Witherspoon Announces Elle Woods Series: Can It Get Any Better?

Witherspoon says:

I’m so excited about the Elle series! Fans will have the chance to see how Elle Woods dealt with life as a teenager, with her unique personality and resourcefulness as only she can. Can there be anything better?!

“Elle” is supposed to tell the story of Elle Woods, whom we meet in high school. The series focuses on her life experiences that shaped her and influenced her transformation into the woman – the icon we came to know and love in the movie “Legally Blonde”. This is interesting because it will require a lot of gymnastics from the scriptwriters – in the first film, which premiered in 2001, we met the main character as a spoiled, rich teenager who matured only during her studies. And although she always had a good head on her shoulders, she had previously used her cleverness mainly for her own pleasure and convenience.

(Not) “an ordinary high school girl from the 90s.”

The return of “Legally Blonde” has been rumored since 2018. According to them, there will also be a film with Witherspoon, but there are no details yet. The actress announced on Instagram that we can count on a lot of pink in the series production. “Before she became the most famous twin of the zodiac and a vegetarian with a Harvard Law degree, she was an ordinary high school student from the 1990s.” – she wrote.

The success of the first film in 2001 was so great that a sequel was released two years later. In 2007, a musical about Elle Woods was also created.
