Polsat’s results under the microscope of Edward Miszczak: “We did some cleaning”

In March, Polsat recorded a several percent drop in market share. Edward Miszczak took steps to improve the station’s situation: “We have made some changes to the schedule,” he told Wirtualne Media.

Nielsen data shows that in March this year, Polsat’s share in the 16-59 commercial group dropped by 5.12 percent, and the station took fourth place in the ranking, just behind TVP2. A month later, the results decreased from 7.38 percent. to 7.2 percent, but the group became the leader in terms of share of all viewers, recording 7.07 percent in this category.

Edward Miszczak commented on the station’s results in an interview with Wirtualne Media: “We used the time to test our audience. I think that Polsat’s decline has been stopped. We have the best results during the day, we are doing well here. In prime-time we have a very good Monday, because the maximum We were playing the ‘Mega Hit’ band.

According to the head of the station, the reason for the increase in results is, among others, the station’s weekend schedule, when the most popular programs are broadcast, i.e. “Our New Home”, “Przyjaciółki” and “Dancing with the Stars. Taniec z Gwiazdami”. The last one mentioned was very popular with viewers – it was watched by an average of 1.78 million viewers.

Edward Miszczak also announced that the station is already prepared for the upcoming autumn season: “We have cleaned up the schedule a bit and I think autumn should be good,” said the head of Polsat to Wirtualny Media.

In the fall, the station plans to introduce a breakfast program that viewers could watch three times a week: on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. In addition, the station’s greatest hits, “Dancing with the Stars” and “Your Face Sounds Familiar”, will return to the airwaves.
