Although he was successful on screen and in theaters, it was not his career but his family that was his greatest priority. During his last year of studies, Pieczka met Henryka, a journalism student who was 5 years younger than him, and he fell in love with her. In 1954 they got married and had two children, Ilona and Piotr. They were 50 years old until the woman’s death in 2004. – After living together for so long, it’s a cataclysm – he said regretfully in one of the interviews, adding that he “wanted to die first.” – I blame myself for very rarely telling her that I love her. However, he felt that his days were numbered, as he was already elderly and struggling with many health problems. Despite this, he was not afraid of death, and in fact emphasized that he was ready for it. Franciszek Pieczka died on September 23, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving mourning fans and family. People from the artistic community and his relatives recalled that he was an extremely warm and cordial person, fully devoted to God. He himself never hid his faith and admitted that he entrusted his fate to Jesus. – I pray to God to let me die peacefully and without pain. And to meet his wife later – he talked about death.

In an interview for Plejada, Piotr Pieczka confessed that he always lived in harmony with his conscience and made sure to have good relationships with everyone he met on his way. He tried to instil such values ​​in his children, and later also in his grandchildren. – He taught us that life should not be wasted on quarrels. He didn’t regret a single minute of his time in this world, he said. At the same time, he emphasized that he did not want to be a burden to his loved ones and prayed to be fully conscious when dying, and that is what happened. Before he left, he even managed to say goodbye to his loved ones and leave them some important advice that he himself followed in life. – He said goodbye to us.
