This year it will be held for the 30th time. The organizers of the Most Beautiful Festival in the World have prepared unique surprises to celebrate the anniversary. The line-up of the event will soon be filled to the last artist, but it is already generating lively discussions among fans.
Rotting Christ will perform at Pol’and’Rock Festival 2024. Not everyone was happy with this announcement
The announcement by Jurek Owsiak that Paktofonika would appear at the festival aroused extreme reactions. Fokus and Rahim are rappers well known to the Polish audience and the hip-hop scene. Until 2003, they co-created the legendary band Paktofonika, which ended its activity after Magik’s death.
There was no need to wait for further outrage from some Pol’and’Rock festival goers. Rotting Christ, representatives of extreme metal, will perform at the event. “Founded in 1987 by brothers Sakis and Themis Tolis, the band quickly gained recognition in the black metal scene with its extremely dark and original sound. Their debut album “Thy Mighty Contract” (1993) established the foundations of their career, combining elements of death, heavy and gothic metal with the ever-present spirit of black metal. Their latest album “Pro Xristou” is another milestone in their 35-year history, deeply rooted in ancient and pagan wisdom,” we read in the announcement of the performance.
The metal band caused controversy among believers visiting the festival. In one of the groups regarding the festival, a post that read: A little information for believers who support the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity was very popular. In August, the Greek band “Crotting Jesus” will perform at the Owsiak festival. The band’s lyrics and album covers are full of Satanic symbolism.
“And right next to it, and at the same time as part of the above-mentioned festival, the Jesus Stop will take place,” recalls one of the commenters. “Satan is not even hiding on Earth anymore. Eurovision or Pol’and’Rock Festival, and people still can’t see him. Drama.”, “Satan has his five minutes” – we read in subsequent entries.
There were also counter-arguments: “I support. And I will continue to support even if the PLN 200,000 that is donated to help the sick is 1/10 of the amount and even if Lucifer himself performs at Owsiak’s concert. I’m going to the festival. For me, the demons are those in these capes,” we read under the post.
Pol’and’Rock Festival 2024. Where? When? Who will play?
Pol’and’Rock Festival 2024 will take place on August 1-3. The stages will again be erected at the Czaplinek-Boryczno airport, where the event has been held for several years. The announced stars of the event include Clawfinger, Electric Callboy, Enej, Flapjack, Flogging Molly, Guano Apes, Modestep, Motionless in White, Sick of it All and T.Love.
