Every year, Post Office Travel Money prepares a summary of the costs of traveling to various European cities. The ranking takes into account the price of accommodation, cultural attractions, meals in restaurants and public transport tickets. It turns out that the cheapest place for a quick city break is Vilnius.

A two-day stay in Vilnius with two nights in a three-star hotel will cost approximately PLN 650, a the entire stay in the Lithuanian city will cost PLN 1,170. To the surprise of many people, Lisbon came in second place, because we will pay PLN 1,300 for a weekend trip here. Rounding out the podium is Lille, France, where the cost of a two-day stay is PLN 1,380. And how did Poland fare?

It ranks fourth among the cheapest cities in Europe. The cost of staying in Krakow is just over PLN 1,380. Warsaw was in tenth place with less than PLN 1,600 for two days. The most expensive city turned out to be Amsterdam, where we had to pay as much as PLN 3,300. Belfast in Northern Ireland and Edinburgh in Scotland are also expensive.
